Results are posted here: midterm exam results, Maximum was 40 points. The total grade will be based on the sum of midterm (45%), final (45%) and computer lab (10%).

The midterm exam will take place at 8:00 AM on Friday 8th of December in room B.

Dear All,

Please note that:

1. Tomorrow (11.01.2017) the lecture will start at 9:45. After that we will have a help session. During the lecture I will introduce the basics of CGE modelling. This lecture is essential to the understanding in computer labs (they start next week). Please note, that this lecture MAY NOT TAKE THE FULL CLASS TIME and if that is the case I will start the help session immediately after (so do not plan to come only for the help session).

2. Computer labs. They will take place on 18.01.2017 and 25.01.2017 at 8:00 am in room I.  MAKE SURE that you have a working login and password BEFORE CLASS. Please form 2-person groups, also BEFORE CLASS.

3. Midterm exam retake will take place on Wednesday, 18.01.2017, 16:30-18:00, room 203.

Note that in order to normalize the results compared to previous years I added 4 points (out of 40) to everyone’s results. This enables the two best students to reach the 5 grade and at the same time makes the number of passing students equal to the number of failing students. Note also that these results are tentative as your final grade will take into account the final exam and the performance in the lab (so the three parts count as 45, 45 and 10 percent of the overall grade respectively.
